7. and Kim caught this precious moment - a picture of Phil taking a picture of the sunset.
Well, my laptop crashed. I'd never backed it up (stupid stupid stupid). I've lost a zillion pictures and other things. growl. and roar.
Oh well... I've still got Andy Healey's Paranoid Love Song to keep me warm.
I've been using an old computer and have found some photos from our Rarotongan adventure, including one of the Tom Cruise roast. The three men were playing at the tahiti airport. We stayed in the little houses.
Look what Kate made! It's a she. Isn't it spectacular?

She looks just like the wee her.
Then they hop into trucks and tractors filled with trees, shrubs and branches, and drive around town with their signs, terrorizing town-folk.
Then they burst through the front doors, stand on the steps and sing or dance a rehearsed number before charging the crowd, where families wait with roses and stuffed animals tied with long ribbons which they loop around their grad's neck.
My sister (Mattea) graduated yesterday. In Sweden, students can choose after the 9th grade to either major in a subject or to continue with the traditional curriculum, so each year 20-30 small classes graduate at one school. The classes take turns celebrating by, first, hanging out a window, singing and chanting, while friends and families watch, cheer and wave giant signs with their loved ones names and baby pictures on them...

What a ridiculous week...we've got way too much to do. I'll be as crazy as an eight-legged goat by Sunday.

Soft things.
Kim wore his reed-camouflage hair and I wore my grass-camouflage blouse. Just in case.
We live close to the centre of town and there aren't (m)any trees in our neighbourhood, so we were excited to stumble on this wooded area not far from our place over the weekend.

The world's ugliest building is just a few blocks from our house. What a coup! Rain or shine, it's always cloaked in a cold, grey shadow. It's masterpiecious [should be a word].

A tiny tree.

Sadly, these are our pets at the moment.
I'm in love with a chinchilla. He lives in a little cage at the pet store in the mall down the street from our apartment. The people at the store tell me that chinchilla's have the softest fur of all the furry creatures. I pet him when I can and he is astoundingly soft. I wish I had a yard for the little guy.
We spent the evening at Kim's aunt and uncle's cottage a few weeks ago. The aunt whipped up some traditional Danish dishes. I ate a whole lot of the shrimp salad (not pictured). I don't know what a vegan-y human would do in Denmark. Starve?

Happy birthday, little fella'.
Wish you were in a better place (literally and figuratively).

Michel Lotito started eating metal and glass at the age of nine. Since 1966, he's eaten 18 bicycles, 2 beds, 1 coffin, 15 supermarket trolleys, 7 TV sets, 6 chandeliers, 1 Cessna Light aircraft, and 1 computer. This is Michel and his plate.
The oldest and the heaviest.
The chemist's moustache was slipping and the woman-with-the-longest-hair's towel was sagging.
